Q. Can you tell me more about your conference rooms?
There are eight meeting rooms available in various sizes to accommodate both large and small groups; the smaller meeting rooms can serve as breakout rooms. All meeting rooms are equipped with white boards, LCD projectors and Wi-Fi. Traditional viewgraph projectors are also available upon request. See IT and equipment support available.
The Sahara Room, the main meeting room can be setup in a variety of configurations. You can seat up to 180 persons theater style in this room. View our available meeting rooms image gallery and floorplans. Contact the B2 conference coordinator to discuss your specific needs.
The Biosphere 2 former living quarters, the Human Habitat, is a truly unique venue for presentations, lunch and/or dinner.
The Boardroom is located in what used to be mission control for the Biospherian closures. It is a unique blend of architecture with a traditional boardroom setting. This room has all the amenities with a great views of the Catalina Mountains.
Q. What presentation equipment is available in the meeting rooms we will be using?
Each room is equipped with a digital projector or large monitor. The larger meeting rooms have amplified audio (including computer audio outputs & wireless microphones). Laptops for presentation use can be provided with proper notice.
Q. Will IT staff be available during our conference?
IT staffing will be available for you during your conference. IT support will have someone assist you 30 minutes prior to your meeting start times and will leave the room shortly after your meeting has gotten underway. If you are able to provide the IT staff with an agenda, you can highlight which sessions you would like for them to assist with support. They will be on standby if your meeting requires emergency support with an average response time of 5 minutes. After normal business hours, if you need IT support for evening lectures or dinners, please notify your conference coordinator 2 weeks prior to your event. If your meeting requires support in the room for the duration of your conference, there is an additional daily charge for your meeting. Please discuss this with your conference coordinator.
Q. Is there video or teleconferencing available for us during our meeting?
The meeting rooms are equipped with analog phone lines and a conference phone can be installed prior to your meeting. If you need a teleconference dial-in number for participants, IT support can provide you with an AT&T teleconference bridge at an additional charge. Please include the times and dates of the conference calls and they will setup the calls for you with proper notification. You are more than welcome to use an existing teleconference bridge you may already utilize with your organization. If you need to use a video conferencing service like WebEx or Skype, IT support asks that you coordinate that with your remote participants prior to your conference. Our facilities provide ample bandwidth for a successful video conferencing experience.
Q. Are there Internet connections or Wi-Fi available?
Yes. Both wired and wireless connections are available throughout the property. Public Wi-Fi is available and there is no security passwords required to using the connection.
Q. Can you tell me more about your catering options?
We can arrange for all food service for your conference/meeting, cost will depend on menu selection or we can put you directly in contact with our approved caters for you to arrange your meal requirements.
