Located in the beautiful Catalina Mountains foothills, the Biosphere 2 campus provides a non-traditional yet accessible venue that facilitates interaction. The one-of-a-kind setting is ideal for leadership conferences, science conferences or corporate meetings.
The facilities at the Biosphere 2 Conference & Retreat Center comprise a Campus Village of 28 rustic Santa Fe-style houses holding 106 double-capacity sleeping rooms and a number of double-occupancy offices. Complete with in-suite kitchens, living areas, and internet access, the 3-5 bedroom casitas provide the perfect place to unwind and socialize in-between or after meetings. Sensible facility pricing of overnight accommodations ensures the Biosphere 2 Conference & Retreat Center is an affordable venue for your events and meetings.
Additionally, there are eight meeting rooms available in various sizes to accommodate both large and small groups; the smaller meeting rooms can serve as breakout rooms. All meeting rooms are equipped with white boards, LCD projectors and Wi-Fi.
Outdoor facilities for relaxation and informal discussion are available around campus, featuring magnificent views of the Santa Catalina Mountains. Abundant wildlife including deer, blue herons, coyotes, bobcats, javalina, and more can be seen around our property. There are numerous hiking opportunities within a short drive of Biosphere 2 campus.
Plan Your Meeting
There are eight meeting rooms available in various sizes to accommodate both large and small groups; the smaller meeting rooms can also serve as breakout rooms. All meeting rooms are equipped with white boards, LCD projectors, and Wi-Fi. Portable projectors may be available upon request. Contact the Biosphere 2 Conference & Retreat Center Coordinator to discuss your specific needs.
- The Sahara Room (the main meeting room) can be setup in a variety of configurations. You can seat up to 180 persons theater-style in this room.
- The Human Habitat (the former living quarters inside Biosphere 2) is a truly unique venue for presentations, lunch and/or dinner.
- The Boardroom is located in what used to be mission control for the Biosphere sealed human missions. It is a unique blend of architecture with a traditional boardroom setting. This room has all the amenities with great views of the Catalina Mountains.

Meeting Rooms: starting at $800 per room per day
Breakout Rooms: starting at $250 per room per day
Dining Spaces: starting at $450 per space per day
Sleeping Rooms: starting at $99 per room per night (single or double occupancy)
Lighting of Biosphere 2 for nighttime events: starting at $500
Coordination Fees: 20%
Private Tour University of Arizona Groups: $15 per person, minimum 10 people
Private Tour Non-University of Arizona Groups: $25 per person, minimum 10 people
